On May 26th, the Wisconsin Historic Preservation Board nominated the Hammond Farmstead in the Town of Cottage Grove to both the Wisconsin and National Registers of Historic Places.  On June 5th, the Cottage Grove Town Board adopted a resolution recognizing the Hammond family for their efforts in sustaining the historic nature of their farmstead for 178 years, and submitting it for nomination to the Historic Registers.  You can read the full resolution at https://links.towncg.net/Resolution-2023-06-05a.
