Notice is hereby given to each and every person who owns, occupies, or controls lands within the Town of Cottage Grove, Dane County, Wisconsin, that in accordance with the provisions of Section 11.05 of the Code of Ordinances of the Town; they are required to destroy all Noxious Weeds and control all Nuisance Weeds on their lands, in the manner specified by the Town Weed Commissioner.

“Noxious Weeds” means the following weeds: Canada Thistle – Leafy Spurge – Field Bindweed (Creeping Jenny) – Cannabis (Marijuana/Hemp) – and any other such weeds as may be specified in s.66.96(2), Stats., as amended.

“Nuisance Weeds” means any non-native member of the genus Lythrum (Purple Loosestrife) or hybrids thereof, and Multi-Flora Rose; along with any other weeds allowed to grow to such a height and density, that would interfere with the sight distance at a highway intersection, or would otherwise create a public nuisance, as defined in Section 11.06(1)(a) of the Code of Ordinances of the Town.
