The Dane County Highway and Transportation Department and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation contracted with Strand Associates, Inc.® to replace the County Highway N bridge over Little Door Creek in the town of Cottage Grove. The project is located approximately 0.6 mile north of the USH 12 interchange on CTH N.

Project improvements include:

• Construction of a new box culvert under County Highway N.
• Reconstruction of the roadway approaches.

The improvement project is currently scheduled for construction in 2027. Right of way is anticipated to be needed as part of the project. As design progresses, Dane County will contact the impacted property owners.

County Highway N will be closed and through traffic is expected to be detoured for approximately 2 to 3 months. Access to adjacent properties will be maintained during construction.

A Public Involvement Meeting (PIM) for the project has been scheduled on May 14, 2025 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.

The meeting will be an open house with no presentation. Project exhibits will be on display for your review and project personnel will be available to discuss the improvements on an individual basis.
