Dane County is in the process of updating its Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan. This update is considered multi-jurisdictional by FEMA, which means that each jurisdiction within Dane County will have an annex attached to the plan addressing the need for hazard mitigation and the potential steps that can be taken. Final FEMA approval requires that each jurisdiction seeking approval participates in the planning process. The Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan Steering Committee was appointed by the Town Board to complete the required planning steps. Members include:
- All Members of the Emergency Government Committee
- Town Clerk Kim Banigan
- Highway Superintendent Dan Dresen
