Board of Review is held once each year to give property owners an opportunity to contest the assessed value of their property. Pursuant to s. 70.47(1) Wis. stats., "The board of review shall meet annually at any time during the 30-day period beginning on the 2nd Monday in May."
Pursuant to s. 70.47(2), notice of the Board of Review must be posted and published (in the legal section of the Wisconsin State Journal) at least 15 days in advance. Register here. if you would like to receive a notice by email when board of review is scheduled.
The 2017 board of review was held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the Town Hall. No objectors filed or appeared.
Before coming to board of review, you should come to the open book session to see if your differences can be worked out with the assessor. Appointments are recommended, and can be made by calling Associated Appraisal Consultants, Inc. at 800-721-4157. The 2017 open book was held on on Thursday, April 20th.
If you do decide to present your case to the board of review, please read the published/posted notice carefully as there are specific requirements that you must meet. An appointment is required, and can be made by calling the Clerk
